With one tackle, my life would be changed in a way that I never imagined. It would bring many challenges and obstacles, but I chose to face them head on.
What Is 10 and 90?
The idea behind “10 and 90” came from a quote that Logan heard when his injury first happened back on July 2, 2003. Laying in the hospital bed days after the accident, his high school football coach, John Robak, came in and said something that Logan will never forget. He said, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” Logan had never heard that quote before, and it struck him deep in his bones and lit an even hotter fire inside to work to get back on his feet.
The quote is originally from Charles Swindoll, and it is all about attitude and how you perceive challenges and hardships throughout life. No matter what happens you have to look at things in a positive light and always remember that it’s not about what happens, but it’s about how you react to it. You can choose to be negative and complain, or you can choose to be positive and face any setback/challenge/struggle head on and persevere no matter what. Logan has endured a long struggle since the accident by drawing strength from others, but most importantly, by living his life by 10 and 90.
